Just say no to cheap desks

So I made the mistake of buying a corner desk from staples a few months back for about $100. I finally got around to trying to put the desk together, only to break it right away. While assembling the main base of the desk, I was having some problems with the screws and locks properly locking it in place.
I continued to adjust and readjust trying to get it secure. This desk is supposed to hold expensive electronics and pc’s after all. Well within a few minutes the cheap wood over one of the connecting points broke.

Needless to say, I decided not carry on with the project and just throw the cheap particle board desk parts off in a corner until I decide what to do with them. Until then, I shall continue to pound away at my $25 folding table in front my 37″ HDTV LCD.

New Lesson Learned – Cheap desks suck. Roll with folding tables and wall mounts. (or tv stand in my case atm)
